November 17th, 2017-March 31st, 2018, plus final retreat at Breitenbush Retreat Center.

1-2 weekends per month

Learn to teach yoga! This 200 hour training will deepen your practice of yoga and give you the foundation to find your authentic voice as a teacher.

In this weekend format you can expect:

  • How to bring in heart themes for a meaningful class
  • Teaching all levels from Beginners to Dynamic Vinyasa, Restorative and Special
  • Populations such as prenatal, seniors and if there is interest, kids yoga.
  • Personal Inquiry, bringing the yoga home and deepening your connection to self
  • A loving supportive community and new friendships

Tuition: $2850
Early Bird Tuition: $2600 if registered by September 1st with $500 deposit and paid in full by start date.

4-Month Payment plan available. $500 deposit, plus 4 monthly payments of $637.50 for a total of $3050.

Peggy Profant, RYT 500, is the founder of Om Shala Yoga and has been training people to teach yoga for 9 years. She came into the practice of yoga in 1980 and has studied Ashtanga, Kripalu and Anusara Yoga. She holds a current certification as an Anusara yoga instructor. It is her greatest joy to spread the word of yoga and empower people to live life more fully and joyfully in their body.

Liz Heffernan, E-RYT 500, C-IAYT, is a recognized international yoga teacher with over two decades of personal practice and 20 years of teaching. She trained extensively in the Hatha yoga systems of Kripalu, Ashtanga and Anusara and works as an Integrative Yoga Therapist. Liz currently directs and leads yoga teacher trainings and workshops in worldwide locations, provides one-to-one mentoring for yoga teachers, instructs daily yoga classes, and offers private therapeutic sessions. Liz is known for her ability to bridge the gap between the ancient perspectives of yoga and contemporary daily life. Her teaching weaves together philosophy, creative sequencing, clear alignment, mindful breathing, and compassionate self-inquiry to form a tapestry that reflects her heartfelt commitment to this transformative path.

Samantha Akers E-RYT 500, C-IAYT, CMT, MFRT, began practicing yoga in 2000, after being diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia. She credits Restorative Yoga and meditation, to her healing. She began teaching yoga in 2002, receiving her first certification in Hatha and Kundalini with Karuna Yoga in Los Angeles. She went on to graduate from her 500 hour program in 2009. She became increasingly interested in the Therapeutic Style of Iyengar Yoga and studied Therapeutics with Judith Lasater, Leeann Carey and Russ Pfeiffer. Samantha is also a massage therapist, specializing in combining mindfulness with bodywork, earning her certification from one of the only 1000 hour programs in Los Angeles, in 2009. She sees over 50 private students a month, mixing modalities of yoga, meditation and bodywork. She began studying mediation with Pema Chodron in 2000. Her current teachers are Shinzen Young and George Haas at Against the Stream in LA. She just completed and 11 month training in Developing Meaningful Relationships through Meditation with George, in 2014.

**Fifty percent of your tuition payment is due three months prior to program start date. Final tuition payments are due one month prior to program start date.

Refund policy: The program deposit is non-refundable. Tuition refunds for cancelations with 30 days or less notice will not be offered.
